We do not offer custom ladders. All of the ladders we offer are universal fit items so you will need to go by the measurements from the product pages for ladders to determine fit. I have linked you to our product page for the ladders we carry. You will also need to consult the RV manufacturer to make certain your RV has structural or framing components that can support a ladder with weight on it. It is possible that the manufacturer does not offer a ladder because there is no suitable mounting... view full answer...
The Surco Exterior RV Ladder # SP501L does come in two pieces but gets mounted to the wall of the RV and would not separate and allow for you to open the rear access doors once installed. The best option we have would be to use a ladder like the Telesteps Telescopic A-Frame Ladder # TE37FR that can fold up to store in one of the cargo compartments of your RV. view full answer...
By blocking or backing, we're referring to a support structure in the wall, like a wall stud. If the ladder is simply fastened to the outer sheathing, the ladder won't have enough support and it will pull out of the wall the first time somebody attempts to climb it. view full answer...
Yeah those trees really hate ladders and AC units let me tell you.
If the ladder or any part of it was bent I recommend replacing it on the grounds of safety issues.
Once aluminum is bent it looses a large amount of structural integrity. No one needs to fall off their RV while climbing the ladder to the roof.
We have the Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder w/ Hinges - Aluminum - 99-1/2" T x 12" W - Black
# LA-401BA. This comes with all the hardware you need to replace the old unit.

With a ladder on the back of your RV it is unlikely you will still be able to fold up the 24 x 84 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumpers # e96ZR.
Reason why is when the carrier folds up it takes up all the space of the bumper, so unless your bumper protrudes out past where the ladder is you won't be able to. If you want that folding feature, and your ladder is off to the side, a carrier with less width will be able to fold up as you can mount it on the side of the ladder. Granted they may... view full answer...
We do not recommend to modify the Surco Universal Exterior RV Ladder # SP502L to fit your camper as it may compromise the structural integrity of the ladder. However, if you choose too, you should be aware that the steps are welded to the frame of the ladder and are not able to be repositioned. view full answer...

All of the RV ladder bike racks we offer are limited to 2 bikes. This is due to the weight of the bikes and the amount of stress additional bikes would cause. I have attached a link to our product page for the ladder bike racks we offer you can check out.

You could cut off the two inches that you need from the lower bend on the # LA-401BA but you would need to find a way to crimp the end of the pipes to hold onto the mounting bracket. The ends of the pipes are simply rolled outwards to prevent the bracket from falling off. Most likely your local hardware store will carry some sort of pipe end shaping tool for you to accomplish this. view full answer...

I spoke with my contact at Surco and they told me that there have been no issues they are aware of with clearance between the RV and the handlebars. The clearance distance will vary, depending on the clearance between the ladder and the back of your RV. The Surco 2 Bike Carrier, part # SP501BR, you referenced, does feature adjustable cradles which may allow you the ability to move a bike away from the back of the RV. Please keep in mind that the weight on the carrier should be evenly distributed,... view full answer...
Of the ladder mounted bike racks we offer, the Surco # SP501BR model you referenced has the highest weight capacity at 75 lbs. Your combined bike weight is 77 lbs, so if you were to remove the seats from each bike, you'd probably get the load under the 75 lb weight capacity of the rack.
Ladder mounted bike racks are pretty bare-bones, there's not much in the way of padding on them. You can always add padding to the rack. I've found that those pool noodle floatation devices work just great... view full answer...
